Vote Yes.
YOU should have had your ballot paper.
Many of us have received notification that we are at risk of redundancy.
UCU have repeatedly made the case for, and requested that the College give a guarantee of no compulsory redundancies. UCU presented their case to the College Governors last Thursday. The Governors have rejected UCU’s case (Outcome Letter 05 06 15). Therefore UCU members still do not have any guarantee that the college will not make our members compulsory redundant. In light of this UCU members have no choice but to vote yes for industrial action and action short of industrial action. Other colleges around the country and in West Yorkshire are doing the same, specifically Leeds and Barnsley Colleges.
If you have not received your ballot paper please contact either Geraint Evans or Chris Webb urgently.
